- For Claimants -

If you are overwhelmed by information, the online resources from pip guide provide a good super-simplified guide to the PIP application process.

For a much more detailed, personalised, step-by-step guide, which also helps you calculate the points you should receive, Turn2Us have created

this excellent tool.

While our resources are targeted at advocates, many claimants still find them a big help in understanding what points they qualify for, and knowing how to answer the questions and provide evidence in a way that helps the DWP reach the right decision.
You can download all of those resources for free here

If you feel confident using the resources above to apply by yourself, you may not need our help. If you just have one or two questions about your specific case, you can reach out to us, and we will do our best to give you the information you need.

If you would like someone to help you fill out your forms and to attend your assessment with you, the ideal candidate is someone who you know and already feel comfortable with. You can ask a friend, partner, or family member to read our resources and attend one of our free Advocate training sessions so that they can fulfil this role for you.

An advocate is someone who can help you complete your PIP form and attend any meetings or phone calls with you. Their role is to support you to both make the process less distressing, and aim to ensure you are granted a PIP award that accurately meets your needs. We cannot guarantee results, as decisions are made by the DWP, but our experience and training can improve your chances of receiving the award you qualify for.  An advocate can help you work out what level of PIP you may be entitled to, or whether your eligibility may have changed if you are considering submitting a Change of Circumstances, before you have begun the application process.

Our upcoming training dates are advertised on our home page, and anyone can sign up here to be notified of new dates. After completing this training, attendees will have the option of joining our Advocacy team, but there is zero obligation, and many people attend just to support one person in their life.

If you cannot find someone you already know who is willing to act as your advocate, you can contact us to request an advocate from our team. This team is all volunteers operating on a mutual aid basis, so availability may be limited, but we will do our best to find you support. Please do encourage anyone you know to consider training and joining our team, as the more advocates we train, the more people we can support without burning anyone out!
